Research and Development Services

MLPC is a complimentary partner in laser materials processing research and development (R&D).

"R&D is a core competency within MLPC. MLPC generates half of its revenues from R&D programs, and truly believes that the next generation of laser materials processing technology will be developed in our laboratories. However, we do not develop this technology in a vacuum, instead, the R&D benefits are passed directly to the commercial marketplace every step of the way."

-- Dr. Larry Dosser, President & CEO of MLPC

SBIR and STTR Programs

MLPC works with area universities (Wright State University and University of Dayton) to create joint programs through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. The universities provide an expanded research capability and access to state-of-the-art diagnostic abilities. The company's business model creates an excellent pathway for commercialization of technology developed in these joint programs.
